My laptop is dying on me. After 4 years of intensive usage. Moving in and out of hostels, back home, to kl, to the UK. People can't follow you everywhere you go but a laptop certainly can. He has been very faithful. Yeah my laptop is a he. Because it's not pretty like an apple or toshiba. It's plain, rugged and a little ugly. Its speakers are completely crap. (silent type of man haha) But it's been very good to me. Always held out during virus attacks, at least long enough for me to back up data. The photos in this laptop have been from ever since I was in Nanyang Boarding, the crazy things we used to do!! It's battery is completely gone (hence it's permanently hooked on power supply. Hahaha like he's being put on life support. And it goes off every once in awhile. Like just turns itself off, as if it's saying, I'm tired, just let me go. Let me rest.

I may need a new one soon :( but I can't let go of this little Acer. He's such a trooper. I love my laptop! But it will stop working one day. It's getting slower and slower and freezing and stalling and shutting off voluntarily. Age catches up on inanimate objects too..

Heya ppl,
been hibernating a bit.
Anyway, yeah, I've missed quite a bit of class outings. Always find out about them at the last minute. No fair lah!

Hmm, I did go the NUS Malay/Muslim Soc camp. That was really fun! Even though in the end, I'm not going there. The fright night was pretty creepy (li will confirm it!!) and the ppl are really fun & warm (got a bunch of eyecandies I'll never see again !!!!). Yeah, it was really cool, they even held a candle-lit dinner by the riverside for us!

Anyway, take care ppl & have fun when school starts for you all...
Hope that there's a possibility of a class outing I can attend soon... :)

hey...
School starts tmr liao..though lectures officially start on tues cos' there's welcome ceremony tmr.. I'll be staying in hostel with yancy! haha.. fun.. our room's not too bad..cosy :) Well, we went for our hall camp together, it was quite horrible for me at the beginning but in the end it got better lah, usual games, cheering, awful disgusting dirty station games, fright night etc.. i left earlier for other stuff though..
well well...if there's going to be any class outing, hope it'll be soon! i'll try my best to go :) hope all of you settle down in your respective schools soon :)

Hey pple!!! Haha been super long since anyone blogged....and long time no see so many of u... Perhaps we could have a class gathering/outing sometime soon b4 uni bogs us down.

Just been to medicamp last week. 3D2N. Quite short, but fun-filled nevertheless. On Wed (13 July), we had fright night at sentosa, where the seniors posed as ghosts in a jungle trail in sentosa. It was very dark, no lights, at some point our light sticks were confiscated too....It was just like BMT/army i supposed, though i've not been thru ns yet. And so u make ur way alone (for the guys, in pairs for the gals) thru the jungle trail and for me, the most scary part was walking alone in the forest from one station to another cos that's the time when u're REally Alone. At the stations u get shocked, but it stops there, u do not get terrified, just shocked/ surprised by 'ghosts' popping up. Honestly when the 'ghosts' grabbed me at the stations, I was Relieved cos I could feel their warm bodies and blood coursing thru their veins...which of course tell u that they're ALIVE!! It's when u proceed alone on the journey to another station that u feel petrified cos u're alone and any rustling of the leaves is enough to set u running towards the stations, where u'll meet - with relief - the 'ghosts' (who r actually ur really nice seniors.

Day 2's filled with games in the chalet. Games in the pool and innovative games in the field that get u all dirty...Some of the pool games quite fun...like one where ur og is supposed to come up with either a dance, ballet, or performance of some sort all in the shallow pool. My og did water ballet (think Water Boys). We didnt sleep on the last nite, played games till dawn.

Hmmmm quite fun lar....oh but alot of rj pple naturally, seemed like a mini get-together for them haha......

Okie so anyway hope we can have some kinda outing soon....cya all then

erm..i tried to take away the empty space on our blog by reducing the width of the sidebar to 190px instead of 200px. the empty space was gone in the preview but the font size of our blog became larger..tried to make it smaller but the font size was either very small or large, like now..din save the editing but i think the font size is still very large...argh...i'm sorry..hope no one kills me..

wah..quite a good composition, playing with leading lines and symmetry.. interesting angle that you chose there..would have been better if the picture was slightly brighter or if the reflection was clearer..you can try composing pictures using the top of a car(must be clean lah) to show the reflection of the surroundings..oh yea..your composition would come out even more unique if you had wide-angle lens or fish-eye lens..haha...

anyway..i just got retrenched haha..

heys. alrights. last sun class outing wasnt very ideal with only 5 ppl - sufi me yenhan sean hongyi turning up to watch Madagascar and shopping around. so now, the 2nd batch of NS guys are gonna have their POP soon and so they will have block leave for a week or so...these are the happening events coming up.

Hi people! Haha... Mindef decided to defer me!!! I will serve ns only after my 5 year course and housemanship training! It's so unexpected....didnt think they were that flexible previously.

I am sooo relieved and happy. Thank God! I kept praying and I really praise Him for His Grace! He gave me Medicine and now also answered my prayers. It's nothing short of a MIRACLE!!! ;))

God is so great...I was just beginning to accept my fate when this news came up...I think I've learnt to treasure my family more...well b4 this I was spending alot of time with them as I thought I'll be enlisting and cant see them anymore for a few weeks. Haha now I can also go coach my bro in his studies cos he's having PSLE this year.

Reality Sinks In

Hi pple...Sigh :( Mindef said no deferment from NS for me cos age limit is 18 and i'm 19. I might have to go thru 2 years of NS b4 studying...but i asked them if i can disrupt next year instead of studying only in 2007. Present policy cannot disrupt after a year but they are asking the head whether can or not...

Hope they realise that I'm gonna be studying MEDICINE and not some other course. It's demanding and by 2007, after 2 years in ns, my brains would have ROTTED...Also, other males my age would be able to disrupt and study this year, unlike me, and then serve the remainder of their ns as Medical Officers in Mindef. If I serve the full 2 years, I would have to slog my 2 years in some vocation, and with no remainder ns to serve after graduating, i dunno if i'll get the rank of captain as MO. Sigh, if i dun, then my whole reservist life when i work will be sooo tough. YES, I HATE the idea of giving your life to the army and having to come back for reservist training in ur adult working life.

I just hope they allow disruption next year. Finally the reality of going thru NS has struck me...I'll be going in on June 11, with the poly, ITE batch of pple. I hope i'll be able to interact well with them. SIGH :( Everything has gone wrong just becos of my late enlistment which definitely isnt MY fault. Medicine is 5 years and if i have to serve 2 years of NS b4 studying, I dunno when i'll become a doctor.......WOULDNT IT BE AN AWFULLY LONG TIME??? And Liyana and others my age would become my med sch seniors.

Now as the reality of NS sinks in, I just want to enjoy my two remaining weeks as a civilian and cherish my family, friends...It's depressing...Really. Haizz...I am just feeling blue and moody. Imagine the regimentation and physical training...And the 2 precious years that's just gone like that...:((((((((((

Haha hi people! I got accepted into NUS Medicine! So Happy :) Really Thank and Praise God! Finally the agonising wait is over... Also got NTU and MOE Scholarship but will reject those scholarships. Hmmm now, I'll have to call Mindef up and request for admission into med this year though I have not and will not be able to serve my BMT by July this year when admission starts. I really cant relish the thought of starting med next year.....Current Mindef policy is for males to serve at least BMT b4 going for med. I dun noe how they gonna work out my case....
Haha from what i see, most of our class gals are going to SMU???? How about the guys beside See Hwee, Sean (who r going ntu/nus i think)??

hey everyone ! just to update.. im schooling already! aha. sooo happy to go back to studying.. im doing occupational therapy at NYP.. for those who dunno.. its helping ppl like the disabled , stroke patients, children born with disabilites, ppl involved in accidents etc who have lost the ability to perform everydae life to regain their independence and do basic things like feeding themselves and changing.. its 3 yrs NYP 1 yr uni of sydney. realli loving the course.. thank God i managed to get in tho it started 3 weeks already. so ya. realli passionate bout it.. :))) im soo happy.. like hysterical. ahha. ok hope everyone's fine i rrealli miss u guys lets meet up soon!

Hmmmm looks like everyone got sth to do.........I'm caught in the middle of nowhere......between waiting for ns in june and attending interviews, occasional relief teaching.... I'm so glad I got shortlisted for med interview and tests....but it's really a tremendous amt of work having to write the personal statement on why i chose med....like have to rack brains, do soul-searching blah blah...but i've come up with my first draft...yikes, hope to be able to submit by deadline nextweek.
I'm so into med, I really dun noe how i'll take it if I dun get in.....my two years of jc life passed with med in mind...i hope i'llbe able to convince the panel of my sincerity in wanting to do med...Hmmm..i'll have to pray hard and trust in God's plan for me i suppose...

Law's really tough but at least I have passion for it. all I can say is, I sure am glad I'm never touching transition metals or integration or complex numbers ever again!! yay! bye bye chem and math! i will be transferring to uni of manchester to do my final yr there. so, probably graduate in 2007 (if all goes well and i work hard).

ntu sent out the letters liao..hope those who applied to ntu got in:) but i think not many pple applied to ntu right? haha...anyway...i'm screening tax forms everyday now...looking through about 60-100 forms per day..these really teach me a lot man...either pple dun bother to read the guides or they're just plain idiotic...haha...next time we start paying taxes, please remember to fill in the compulsory fields no matter how much income u're declaring!!!!! and help to save the trees....u should see how much paper we're wasting on adjustment sheets plus standard letters(to disallow claim for reliefs) haha.....anyway, to all the guys who just went in recently..hope u all are surviving...good luck to you pple....

i guess i'll be enlisting on June 10. but no official letter yet. I have been calling Mindef eversince Feb/Mar....and each time they promised quick action by saying it will be processed in a week's time....that my med report still with the hospital.....and other reasons etc....it's only after zz success thru the MP that i contemplated calling the MP. But alas, a call last week said June 10. so its 2 more months of freedom... at least its June so i can make it in time for uni admission two years later, if its july etc, i will miss admission in 2007. so hmmmm dun noe what to do....anyway, nette...i took psychometric test with moe, not so easy lor...havent heard from firefly too...guess i didnt pass the 2nd round...wasnt that easy....tough competition with the large no. of rj people....those with brains and brawn...ocs...haiz....nothing's easy, not even with 4 As....but i'll try and pray super very very very hard i can get into my desired med course in NUS...

haha..what exactly happened during the kl trip? someone blog leh.. haha, hope u all had lotsa fun.. Just started work at iras this week, so far only training, will be starting front-end screening of the tax forms next week... Guess it won't be too boring cos' i met a few laughing mates and we've been laughing a lot during our training haha...training was like lectures tho, and most of us needed sweets to keep awake..among the four crazy souls, i think we finished about 2-3 tubes in 1 day haha..the aircon there is superb..it's so good that i nearly froze..literally..was on the verge of chattering.. hey elizer,so where would u be studying?and to daniel,u mean zz 's case got through finally aft he went to mp?u can do so too what..haha..guess ur experience in relief teaching would give u an edge over others for ur psc scholarship lor..well..i think my iQ too lan4 liao..haven't heard fr psc since then..haha..nvm..
